Since 1993, when he co-founded a fee-only registered investment advisory firm (RIA), Bill has been managing money in broadly diversified portfolios for wealthy individuals and retirement plans.
In 1967, he received a BS in Business Administration from Miami University where he majored in accounting. Bill received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Bill began his career as a Certified Public Accountant on the audit staff of Ernst & Ernst where he worked until 1971. Bill left Ernst to join Laks & Wyndbrandt where he soon became a Partner.
In 1987, Bill Proper founded the CPA and management consulting firm of Proper & Associates, Inc. He provides highly personalized accounting, business advisory and tax services. Bill is the chairman of his synagogue’s investment committee and, working as a volunteer, provides financial consultation to the Palliative Medicine Foundation.
